Whereas the article feels pretty encouraging to me, as I see someone honestly trying to understand and figure out how to solve the problem, the user discussion has the opposite effect.
What is particularly disheartening for me is how bad the reasoning is - the question that opens the discussion already starts by quoting the article wrong and many comments and answers are no better.
