DevConf.CZ CFP and scholarships for speakers

DevConf.CZ 2019 is the 11th annual, free, Red Hat sponsored community conference for developers, admins, DevOps engineers, testers, documentation writers and other contributors to open source technologies taking place January 25-27, 2019 in the beautiful city of Brno, Czech Republic.

DevConf.CZ is welcoming speakers with different levels of experience. It offers first time speakers a great venue to sharpen their presentation skills and share their knowledge. It is seeking presentation and workshop proposals that cover, but are not limited to, the following topics: Agile / DevOps / CI/CD, Blockchain, Cloud and Containers, Community, Immutable OS, Debugging / Tracing, Desktop, Developer Tools, Documentation, Fedora, Frontend / UI / UX, Kernel, IoT, Microservices, Middleware, ML / AI / Big Data, Networking, Platform / OS, Quality / Testing, Security / IdM, Storage / Ceph / Gluster, and Virtualization.

To promote diversity at the event, DevConf.CZ will offer diversity scholarships that cover travel-related expenses for a number of accepted speakers who do not work at Red Hat and who live in Europe, Middle East or Africa (EMEA), and who are students or are relatively new or returning to full-time work in technology. Because there are also annual DevConf conferences in Bangalore, India and in Boston, USA, the scholarships for the Brno DevConf are focused on supporting speakers from the EMEA region. While hotel accommodations are provided for all speakers, the scholarships will additionally provide up to 1,000 USD towards transportation, food, child care, and other expenses. Decisions will be made based on applicants’ experience with Red Hat-supported and other open source technologies and based on being a student or being new or returning to full-time work in technology.

Please learn more at https://devconf.info/cz and consider submitting a proposal by October 26.
