User Testers needed for Open Source Security Tool

Hi everyone,

Looking for an easy way to support Internet Freedom? Want to help improve access to digital security and privacy tools? We need you!

Internews is seeking volunteers to help improve an open source security tool called Lookyloo.

Lookyloo is a web interface that lets you view the anatomy of connections within a webpage. In other words, with Lookyloo you can “dissect” a webpage while it is in motion. You can use Lookyloo to observe who has access to your information when you visit a site, identify malicious activity, recognize phishing activity, pinpoint lapses in security and flag suspicious behavior.

We need volunteers to participate in a user test of Lookyloo, which will take approximately 40 mins. Your feedback will help the Lookyloo development team improve the tool and make it even easier to use!

We especially seek volunteers who work as a journalist, legal professional, site administrator, forensic investigator or teach web development. Would you like to help? To express interest in participating in our user test, please contact Maya Ninova at maya.ninova@gmail.com for further details.

We really hope to hear from you, as your feedback is greatly valued!

Cheers, Internews & The Lookyloo Team

Interested in technology to better protect your privacy? We need you!

The Invisible Internet Project (I2P) is a fully encrypted private network layer that has been developed with privacy and security by design in order to provide protection for user activity, location and identity. The software ships with a router that connects a user to the network and applications for sharing, communicating and building.

We are conducting I2P website efficiency studies to understand how users are interacting with specific pages and workflows, and we are seeking volunteers to help us out by participating in a virtual user testing session. Sessions will take approximately 30 minutes of your time.

If you would like to take part OR you have questions please send an email to:
